Modern Foot & Ankle proudly announces the addition of Dr. Elaine Felix, to its team of esteemed foot and ankle specialists. Dr. Felix will practice at the Lake Nona office and the newly opened Pleasant Hill office in South Kissimmee , further expanding the practice’s commitment to bringing cutting-edge podiatric care to Central Florida.
Born and raised in Kissimmee, Dr. Felix has a deep connection to the local community. She attended high school in Kissimmee and earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Molecular and Microbiology from the University of Central Florida. She went on to achieve her Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from Barry University in Miami, graduating in 2017. Her residency training at Memorial Healthcare System in Hollywood, Florida, included serving as chief resident, solidifying her expertise in wound management, limb salvage, and reconstructive foot and ankle surgery.
After gaining valuable experience at The Foot and Ankle Group in Fort Myers, Dr. Felix is excited to return to her hometown to care for the community she knows so well. She specializes in wound care, sports medicine, reconstructive surgery, and conservative treatments, tailoring care plans to meet the unique needs of every patient.
“Growing up, I always knew I wanted to become a doctor, but my passion for podiatry developed after attending my grandmother’s diabetic foot care appointments,” said Dr. Felix. “I love how versatile the field is, from managing wounds and performing surgeries to addressing musculoskeletal conditions. I look forward to helping patients in my hometown live pain-free and healthier lives.”
